Are you keen to work in an interesting and innovative environment, delivering maintenance support to the teaching of the undergraduate, postgraduate, and qualified dental professionals? Do you have effective communication skills and are able to work in a team as well as showing initiative to work on your own? Are you enthusiastic with a desire to learn and contribute to a busy department?
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support to the clinical skills courses in the classrooms of the School of Dentistry.
2. Ensure equipment and consumables are available and functioning for smooth session operations.
3. Undertake general maintenance of the laboratory, dental equipment, and phantom head simulators.
4. Collaborate with other technicians, clinical tutors/teachers, and support staff.
Experience in the repair of dental simulators and associated dental equipment is advantageous, but a general engineering/maintenance background will also be considered.
Occasional Saturday working to cover courses on an overtime basis may be required.
