Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join their team working on their project outside Cambridge. Your role will be to ensure environmental compliance across all major environmental aspects - water, waste, noise/vibration, ecological - and provide advice and guidance to various teams to help achieve this. The role will also involve delivering suitable environmental and sustainability training for all project staff.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Provide environmental compliance advice to various teams, including design, construction, procurement, subcontractors, and suppliers on the practical implementation of contract policies, processes, and requirements.
2. Undertake environmental audits and inspections, both internal and external, including suppliers and waste contractors.
3. Deliver suitable environmental and sustainability training for all project staff.
4. Identify and communicate environmental and sustainability risks and mitigations, assisting with the review and writing of plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
5. Drive awareness for and delivery against contract targets, particularly reducing carbon, materials efficiency, and striving to achieve no-net loss in biodiversity.
The Candidate:
1. You will hold a relevant environmental degree or related qualification.
2. Able to display previous experience gained in a similar role.
3. Experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
4. Hold a CSCS card.
