Job summary An exiting opportunity as arisen in our Totnes Hospital to work on our Dart Ward. You will be responsible for the provision of care as part of a team on a 16 bedded unit for people from 18 years upwards. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and be able to communicate with internal and external partners as required. Working with your team to take charge of a cohort of patients and as appropriate to act up to take charge of the unit in the absence of senior staff and be part of internal rotation to support 24-hour care within the unit. Main duties of the job To work as a registered nurse within a team responsible to the team leader / shift coordinator caring for patients and their carer's To fully utilise the learning opportunities available. You will gain an understanding of the physiological, psycho-social, spiritual and cultural needs of the patients and their carer's and to develop a broad spectrum of clinical proficiency to deliver nursing care To promote a safe clinical environment for all patients, their carer's, visitors and staff To comply with the Trust's values and expected behaviours To support in the assessment, implementation and review of holistic patient requirements.
