Job Description We are looking to recruitment an Environmental Manager to join the Health and Safety Department at Sapphire. You will join the team and be report to the Health and Safety Director. You will be responsible for the Environmental Management Systems, Carbon management and Emission Reduction Location: Preston Hours of Work: Monday – Friday (40 Hours per week) Responsibilities – But Not Limited To To Manage ISO 14001 / 2015 Quality Standard To manage ISO 50001 or ESOS for the business To manage all carbon exposure of the business and report on the same To drive Environmental best practice To manage energy and the use of non- renewable fuel sources To manage environmental projects and initiatives To prepare reports for the Senior Management Team To support the business development team in all environmental bids and tenders To assist in any environmental investigations To co-ordinate any interfaces with the competent authorities in Environmental matters To undertake environmental audits and inspections To meet the Key Performance Indicators of our clients Attendance at meetings – both internal and external when required You must have Microsoft Office experience and be able to produce reports both statistical and in written format therefore excel skills are also essential Environmental Management Systems, carbon management, emission reduction Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required: Minimum experience of 5 years of environmental management Degree Qualified in Environmental Studies ideally Excellent organisational skills and communicator at all levels Confident decision maker Strong IT skills Excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with management at all level What we are looking for Whilst we are looking for the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out the responsibilities of the role, it’s just as important to have employees with a positive attitude or those who are looking for develop further and grow with the company.
