As the Director of Sales you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy across two hotels located near Heathrow. Your primary focus will be corporate and MICE business, where you will manage key accounts, drive new business, and ensure the overall success of the sales team. You will also manage a small team of one individual, guiding and mentoring them to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement tailored sales strategies to drive corporate and MICE revenue across both properties.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a small sales team (1 person), ensuring alignment with company goals and driving performance.
* Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities within corporate and MICE sectors, expanding the customer base and increasing revenue.
* Key Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with key corporate and MICE clients, ensuring high satisfaction levels and long-term partnerships.
* Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to stay ahead of the market. Provide regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior management.
* Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with the hotel operations team to ensure seamless execution of client events and meetings, maintaining the highest standards of service.
* Brand Alignment: Represent and promote the hotel's brand, ensuring consistency across all sales and marketing efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in hotel sales, with a strong background in corporate and MICE business.
* Previous experience managing sales for hotel properties, preferably with experience at IHG hotels.
* Demonstrated success in driving revenue and developing new business.
* Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a small team.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* In-depth knowledge of corporate and MICE market segments.
* Ability to analyse market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Package:
* Salary, £65,000 - £70,000 + performance-based incentives.
