Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior lawyer to join a thriving and exciting in-house commercial property team. Our dynamic Property Acquisitions, Disposals and Leases team at NWSSP Legal and Risk Services requires a full-time solicitor, legal executive or barrister to join the team and provide a broad range of commercial property advice to NHS Wales' Health Boards, Trusts and other NHS bodies.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will work, with supervision, to provide commercial property legal advice and assistance to the NHS bodies in Wales.
The advice will range from providing legal updates, general ad hoc queries, occupational leases and large-scale development projects. Our ideal candidate will have some relevant experience in advising on a wide range of commercial property matters and a keen interest to develop and grow their expertise.
You will have a passion for public service, good communication skills, a confident approach to work and a drive to progress. You will also demonstrate our core values, being:

Person specification
Qualifications
* Law Degree & Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (or equivalent)
* A qualified lawyer who is either of the following: A qualified solicitor admitted to the roll of solicitors of England and Wales; A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and where the specialist area of law described in the role profile includes civil litigation, the postholder is required to have been awarded the CILEx Civil Proceedings Advocacy certification; A qualified barrister admitted to the bar in England and Wales.

Experience
* Experience gained through training contract within commercial property law
* Post qualification experience of advising on commercial property issues
* NHS or public sector background
* Experience of making presentations to non-legal staff
* Experience in drafting documents and advice to clients
* Property litigation knowledge

* IT Skills/Computer literate to include the ability to learn new technologies and IT introduced
