We are recruiting for a fantastic company located in Grantham, a Service Lead to join their established team on a full time, permanent basis. As the Service Lead you must have the ability to work flexibly, responding to the needs of each service, ensuring that the group of services (around 10) have 24-hour staff cover, 365 days of the year in conjunction with the division's rota co-ordinator. Lead the operational performance of the services to proactively identify, escalate and contribute to the management of potential risks. Leading on safeguarding situations from referring into the local authority and managing situations through the process to a satisfactory conclusion. To effectively manage staff costs in line with agreed budgets set by the Divisional Director, including control of agency usage in line with commissioned hours. Stakeholder management across the group of identified services including managing complaints, acting as the first point of contact for families, social workers and other professionals.
Your duties shall include, but not limited to:
1. Oversight of income and outgoings
2. Supporting people to withdraw cash as and when needed
3. Supporting people in paying utility bills and rent
4. Holiday financial risk assessments
5. Benefit management including contact with DWP and or LA (client accounts)
6. To ensure that everyone has the means to express their needs and wishes and that methods of communication are clearly recorded and shared with all members of the team.
7. Lead, develop, empower, and engage your team to do their very best work and create an environment and culture that promotes Ambient Support as a great place to work.
8. Taking an active role in the shared on-call for the Division.
Qualifications/Education/Training:
1. Care Certificate, a Diploma in Health and Social Care or related qualification. Level 3 QCF or willingness to undertake.
2. Significant experience of supporting people with a learning disability or mental health issue and working in partnership with families and significant others.
3. Have or be prepared to embed the service model associated with the customer group you are working for i.e., active support, life start or recovery star approach.
4. An awareness and understanding of diversity issues, including non-discriminatory practice.
5. Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues within the workplace.
6. Literacy skills (for report writing), verbal skills (for communication) and numeracy skills (for managing budgets).

Salary: To be discussed at interview stage and dependent on experience.
Hours of work: 38 hours per week (Flexible start and finish times)
This post shall be subject to a 6-month probationary period.
