The Avenue Cookery School is a small but mighty family-run company that teaches cooking to all ages and abilities We are a fun little team bursting with energy and drive who seek a like-minded, English-speaking Marketing & Admin Volunteer to join our team. A fantastic opportunity to better your understanding of the runnings of a small business while gaining hands-on marketing and admin experience in an office with a friendly team. We are looking for a hard worker who is very efficient, and reliable, has initiative, attention to detail, knowledge or a strong interest in marketing, and strong written skills. The role will include assisting our office team of 3. Tasks will include but are not limited to, assisting in content creation, filming classes for TikTok & Reels, research, contacting potential brands and publications over email and fulfilling certain admin duties. It's the perfect environment to implement your ideas and knowledge into a small business that is always open to trying new angles. There is always something to be done so there is no reason for clock watching, thumb twiddling or personal phone use - a get-things-done attitude is essential As we predominantly work from home, it is very important that the person we work with is a self-motivator and hard worker, but at the same time easy going - as mentioned we are a fun family-run business and it is not a 'clock-work' operation. We are all straight-forward and to the point so need someone who can take constructive criticism and can be honest back. Being flexible in the role is a must as we are a small company and, when needed, all pitch in together but a lot of the time you will be given work to get on with alone. Hours are 9-5 pm (but can be flexible depending on the candidate's situation) London-based travel will be covered and lunch provided when required to go into the office. The candidate will need to have their own laptop. Great for those interested in food and cooking, and who want to be part of a small team. You will most definitely improve your food knowledge as well as gain valuable knowledge of Marketing and admin. Strong writing skills are essential to the role - we will ask you for a short sample of your written work to look over before inviting you to interview.
