Who you are
We are seeking an experienced SEO and PPC Manager to drive and implement the Ellisons growth marketing strategy with the Head of Digital Marketing.
Overall purpose
Responsible for identifying, developing, and executing comprehensive search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC), and paid strategies to maximise website visibility and drive targeted traffic.
Set up and manage PPC campaigns with targeted audience segmentation.
Regularly analyses data to optimise campaigns across both organic and paid search channels and collaborates with other marketing team members to achieve overall business goals.
The ability to craft compelling copy that resonates with target audiences and drives click-through rates.
This person will have fantastic people skills, is able to work cross-functionally and independently, and is experienced in managing, coaching, and nurturing a team.
Experience ideally within B2B, and in the hair and beauty space is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and execute SEO and paid campaigns and activities with Head of Digital Marketing and Digital Content Coordinators, to deliver personal, team and Ellisons’ KPIs
* Optimise website for search, including existing and new products and brands, to drive customer acquisition growth
* Identify and resolve technical issues impacting website crawlability and indexing, including site speed, broken links, and structured data
* Define and advise on content, development and distribution, with Head of Digital Marketing and Senior Marketing Executive, based on industry trends, ranking fluctuations, and key search term
* Actively manage backlink-building to improve Ellisons’ domain authority
* Improve site health and SERPs visibility through management and implementation of SEO roadmap
* Continually monitor and analyse website and search performance using relevant tools and reports, including SEMrush and Search Console, to identify opportunities and deliver recommendations
* Maintain ‘good housekeeping’ standards, ensuring compliance with intellectual property, and other legal requirements, cyber security and good working practices adhered to
Requirements
* Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
* Expertise in setting up and managing PPC campaigns from ‘cradle to grave’ across different platforms
* Proficiency in using SEO and PPC tools (Google Search Console, Google Ads, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
* Create and manage targeted and/or PMax campaigns in Google Adwords, and social channels, where applicable, to drive customer acquisition growth and maintain high ROAS
* Manage Ellisons paid advertising budget and spend, and execute bid changes based on pacing and performance, or promotional activity
* Continuous analysis of paid search campaigns to identify potential opportunities, providing and implementing recommendations for optimisation through ad copy, keywords, assets, ad groups, targeting and bidding
* Create weekly and monthly reporting on paid and organic initiatives and performance
* Keep up to date with the latest SEO and PPC trends, algorithm updates, and search engine best practice
* Manage, coach and nurture direct reports
* Carry out any other duties, within reason, as defined by the Head of Digital Marketing
* Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
* Strong writing and communication skills to create compelling ad copy and reports
* Experience in digital marketing with a proven track record of success

Hours of work
The hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm. This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
