As a Senior Consultant, you will be a key member of our Insurance Operations & Domain Solutions team, working alongside experienced consultants and gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects. You will have the opportunity to apply your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills, while developing your expertise in insurance technology and transformation.
As part of this team, you'll work alongside a team of Insurance specialists from across Insurance markets and will be able to quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge and consultancy skills to develop your expertise. We will be looking to you to help lead project teams and develop the talent and insight in our community.
As part of Insurance Operations & Domain Solutions team, you'll be working with a multitude of market leading teams from Deloitte to deliver value to our clients across the full delivery lifecycle starting from strategy and proposition definition to detailed operations and tech design, and being part of engineering and implementation teams to deliver for our clients. We have a diverse team with vast knowledge, experience and backgrounds enabling us to provide the best value to our clients. As a Senior Consultant Business Analyst within Deloitte's Insurance practice, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams on business-led technology transformation projects. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, translate those needs into detailed requirements, and ensure the delivered solution aligns with the desired outcomes.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the elicitation and documentation of business requirements through workshops, interviews, and document analysis.
* Analyse and document 'as-is' business processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and automation.
* Support the definition of the 'to-be' business processes and system capabilities, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
* Develop detailed functional specifications and user stories to guide the development and testing of technology solutions.
* Support the creation of test cases and test scripts, and participate in testing activities to ensure the solution meets requirements.
* Work closely with technical teams to ensure the solution design and implementation align with business requirements.
* Support the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes.
* Contribute to the development of client presentations and reports, effectively communicating project findings and recommendations.
* Support business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations, to help grow the practice.
* Actively participate in internal practice development initiatives, contributing to the growth and development of the team.

Minimum Requirements:
* 2-4 years of experience working as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry or a related field.
* Experience in one or more of the following areas: General Insurance, London Markets, or Life & Pension.
* A strong understanding of insurance business processes and systems.
* Experience in eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
* Basic understanding of key insurance business processes across the value chain or at least one Line of business.
* Experience in developing functional specifications and user stories.
* An interest in emerging technology and trends in insurance and financial services.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferably you will also have:
* Experience supporting (consulting) bids, e.g. responding to RFI/RFP, and developing industry relationships.
* Industry certifications such as Business Analysis certification (Foundation / Practitioner / Professional / Consultant) from British Computer Society, International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) (any certification), Project Management Institute (PMI) Professional in Business Analysis (PBA), among others or equivalent.
* Experience in implementing AI-driven solution within the general insurance lifecycle (e.g., claims automation, fraud detection, risk assessment, etc.) is highly desirable.
