Interaction Recruitment, Northampton are seeking a Kitchen Steward (Kitchen Porter / General Assistant / Commis Chef / Catering Assistant) to work full time in Buckingham as follows:
Role:
· Permanent contract
· 5 out of 7 days per week
· 40 hours per week, starting no earlier than 07:00 and finishing no later than 20:00
Duties:
· Supporting Chefs with food preparation
· Keeping all areas including dining room clean, wiping surfaces, mopping floors and pot washing
· Serving customers during busy lunch and dinner services
· Serving customers at the counter using a till
· Supporting with hospitality to include front of house duties
Candidate:
· Must evident career history in the form of a CV with references
· Will provide evidence of 3 year employment history and 5 year address history
· Shall have prior experience working as a Kitchen Assistant, Front of House or Catering Assistant `
· Can communicate effectively both written and verbal
· Ought to have an in date Food Safety certificate, minimum level 1
· Should be a bubbly and outgoing team player with oodles of enthusiasm
· Would have prior catering experience within the education sector
· Will be organised and presentable with excellent customer service skills
· Ideally holds a City & Guilds or NVQ in Cookery, a Level 2 Health & Safety and/or First Aid qualifications
Interview process:
· You will be required to register with Interaction Recruitment following a successful meeting with Cheryl or Lucie in Northampton
· You will then attend an interview on site with the hiring manager in Buckingham
