The Business Manager – Environmental Sales drives new machine sales within the Separation portfolio, contributing to market growth, operational planning, and product innovation. This role focuses on developing opportunities in the wastewater sector and driving growth within the Midlands and North regions.
Your responsibilities and tasks:
1. Market Development & Sales Strategy
2. Develop sales in key market areas with a focus on the Midlands and North.
3. Identify growth opportunities in the wastewater sector and adjacent markets.
4. Define and implement sales strategies to expand market reach while maintaining margins.
5. Develop and prioritise regional and global sales initiatives aligned with corporate goals.
1. Customer & Project Management
2. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including with key accounts.
3. Collaborate with project teams during and after the sales phase and assist with contract negotiations.
4. Provide accurate CRM reporting, forecasting, and maintain detailed sales records.
1. Operational Support & Innovation
2. Support marketing efforts, including attending exhibitions and conferences.
3. Contribute to product development and innovation projects.
4. Assist sales administration with order processing and project handovers.
5. Partner with service sales engineers and cross-divisional teams to identify and capitalise on cross-selling opportunities.
6. Work closely with the environmental team to expand the market for innovative products and solutions such as biogas, wastewater technologies, and agricultural applications.
Environmental Business Focus:
1. Target key opportunities in water companies, biogas installations, and industrial wastewater sectors.
2. Collaborate with the Farm Technologies division to enhance the agricultural market.
3. Conduct market research for innovative products and support testing and trials.
Your profile and qualifications:
1. Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in sales, ideally within the wastewater sector.
2. Strong sales acumen with experience in negotiation, contracting, and customer relationship management.
3. Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Demonstrated success in driving growth and managing accounts in the Midlands and North regions.
5. Team player with excellent communication and networking skills.
6. Customer-oriented and able to engage effectively at all levels.
