We have an exciting opportunity to join our Security Lab. This role will focus on designing platform security for endpoint devices, with a particular emphasis on hardware-firmware co-design and on using robust hardware roots of trust and security properties. You’ll also collaborate with business R&D teams to ensure that business impact drives our development strategy. You will be contributing to our security research, analyzing use cases and threats, and designing and prototyping novel security architecture to help shape the future of our products and services. You will work closely with systems security research engineers and security technologists across our organization. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills and a background in low-level computer engineering architecture, ideally with knowledge in systems security and some understanding of enterprise IT architectures. We are looking for a strong engineer who can effectively communicate about low-level computer architecture and security. Job Responsibilities Develop new hardware and firmware security architecture. Build prototypes to de-risk and demonstrate the feasibility of ideas. Document architecture and technical designs. Validate use cases with end-users and business partners. Work in a fast-paced environment that iterates and evolves rapidly. Job Requirements Experience with hardware and firmware technologies (x86, ARM, UEFI, PCIe, DMA, etc.) Knowledge of computer architecture. Strong engineering skills. Knowledge or interest in endpoint security. Ability to convey technical knowledge to both technical experts and non-technical teams. The following skills and attributes are a plus: Knowledge in systems security. Knowledge of enterprise IT (device and security) management. Knowledge of OS kernel and hypervisor security. Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
