Pre-Construction Manager
Salary: Up to £65,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)
Location: Reading area
Let us introduce the role:
AWE is currently recruiting for a Client Pre-Construction Manager to operate out of our Front-End Delivery project team, to be responsible for delivering the pre-construction elements of construction projects and associated activities, such as site inspections, surveys, site plans, feasibility studies etc.
This role will include the following:
1. Overseeing and maintaining the development of technical pre-construction documents, including site plans, technical specifications, and studies to support construction projects.
2. Planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating construction work, in line with the project delivery strategy.
3. Providing technical construction expertise/advice throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Providing management and governance to maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
5. Ensuring the construction management standards, procedures, and work instructions governing construction are followed.
6. Ensuring construction teams are appropriately organised and that key personnel are competent to undertake their roles.
7. Ensuring construction records are maintained to support commissioning and project handover activities.
8. Responsible for task management, to meet the professional standards, performance, and integrity of the work and reporting information necessary to support the project and business objectives.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
1. Have a suitable amount of experience in operating in the build environment, with a proven track record in successfully planning, managing, and monitoring construction work.
2. Hold an industry standard, construction/build environment qualification (e.g.: NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent), aligned to their discipline/specialism.
3. Demonstrate an exceptional level of awareness and understanding in construction environment, safety, and health regulations and legislation.
4. Hold a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), or National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Construction accreditation, or a suitable equivalent.
5. Hold an appropriate industry recognised safety scheme card, (i.e.: a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Manager’s card, Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) Safety Passport card or a suitable equivalent.
