As a Qualified Social Worker in the Connected Carers Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and assessing potential foster carers. Roles and Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster carers, ensuring they meet the necessary criteria and provide a safe environment for children.
• Manage a caseload of connected carer cases, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, and collaborating with other professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to connected carers, offering assistance in managing challenging situations and promoting the well-being of both carers and children.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to the care of children.
• Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, attending hearings as required and advocating for the children's best interests.
• Intervene in crisis situations, providing immediate support and working towards effective resolution to safeguard the welfare of children.
Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• DBS on the update service
• Proven experience in child protection and working with connected carers.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills.
