McCarthy Stone are looking for a professional Duty Care Manager on a fixed term contract to join their team at their prestigious development, Shackleton Place in Devizes.
This is a ‘Retirement Living Plus’ development constructed by multi award-winning McCarthy and Stone, providing a fantastic lifestyle living opportunity for the over 70’s.
Base salary: £14.02 per hour day rate and £11.44 sleeping night rate per hour plus additional pay.
Hours: 36 per week (includes day and night shifts).
Our day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 to 09:30. Our night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00. Our Duty Care Managers on fixed term contracts sleep between 23:00 and 07:00 providing emergency support only to our homeowners throughout that period.

About you:
You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills. You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification, although consideration will be given to candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
You will be keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners, and overseeing the Care and Support teams. You should be able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.
You will be driven to continue to grow your skills, lead by example, and think on your feet, making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
