EUDR Program Manager (Deforestation-free) About The Role The EUDR Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing the deployment of activities required for the implementation of the new European Union regulations on Deforestation (EUDR) for MillerKnoll. More specifically, you will manage the EUDR software including Due Diligence verification operations to enable compliance with EUDR requirements. You will work in close collaboration with Supply Management, Product Stewardship, Legal, Suppliers, Data Management and IT Support teams, as well as with the Sustainability teams across MillerKnoll to ensure the smooth coordination and completion of activities and the achievement of compliance to the rule. You will manage the process for multiple MillerKnoll brands in multiple regions and must be able to plan and lead the implementation of activities while respecting time and budget constraints. You may also be called upon to contribute to other projects/programs of the Sustainability, Traceability and Product Stewardship teams including Extended Producer Responsibility. Key Responsibilities The EUDR Program Manager will be responsible for: Data Collection, Analysis and Management Coordinate with internal teams (Supply Management, Trade Compliance, Product Stewardship, Logistics, etc.) on the precision and regular updating of the data collected to comply with EUDR requirements. Manage the EUDR software system to ensure timely Deforestation Due Diligence Process, generation of Due Diligence Statements and obtaining EU Registry to enable flow of goods into and out of the EU. Work with suppliers to obtain data and/or coordinate risk management activities. Program Management Oversee activities to ensure compliance with EUDR requirements and minimize negative environmental and/or social impacts. Identify and mitigate risks associated with raw materials used in customer orders. Develop and review the adequacy of process and procedures for the EUDR program. Continually evaluate and improve processes related to EUDR effectiveness, ensuring alignment with evolving EUDR requirements and industry best practices. Manage the annual third party audit. Coordinate with CSRD and other teams to ensure appropriate disclosure of program on company website. Reporting And Communication Internally report incidences of more than low risk of deforestation and degradation and ensure the implementation of the actions required to mitigate and address these risks. Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of projects, key findings, and any emerging issues or challenges. Collaborate with external stakeholders such as suppliers, regulators and industry associations, as well as internal stakeholders, to ensure alignment with evolving EUDR requirements and promote transparency and collaboration. Training And Capacity Building Organize and coordinate training and awareness of internal staff, suppliers, producers and other key stakeholders on EUDR requirements, verification procedures and best practices to build capacity and ensure consistent implementation across all regions. About You Bachelor's degree or higher. Data Analysis/ Project Management with 5 years’ experience and knowledge in furniture industry. Good knowledge of sustainability regulations and EUDR helpful. Prior experience with EUTR, UKTR, FSC, PEFC, and SFI or forestry experience a plus Experience in managing teams and carrying out complex tasks across different regions Ability to explain complex reporting processes to end users with strong coaching and training skills Able to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Experienced managing large teams and working against tight timelines.
