Bank Paediatric Nurse - Emergency Department

Good Hope Hospital and Birmingham Heartlands Hospital Paediatric Emergency Department are looking for talented, caring enthusiastic Paediatric trained and skilled nurses to join the Trust's nurse bank.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the delivery of Paediatric Emergency care across both healthcare settings which care for and treat a variety of Paediatric patients each day.
You are required to hold a professional Paediatric NMC registration for this role.

On the bank we can accommodate block bookings, day and night shifts including weekends.
Please note that all workers on a bank contract are required to work a minimum of 30 hours within 6 months to keep their bank contract active.
Main duties of the job
1. Maintain a high standard of patient-focused care in accordance with NHS University Hospitals Birmingham policies and procedures.
2. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
3. Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients ensuring accurate records are kept.
4. Communicate with our patients and their carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
5. Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient.
6. Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council code of conduct.
7. Undertake duties as and when required by service demands.
8. Demonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures.

Qualifications
* Registered Paediatric Nurse on the NMC register.
Experience
* Substantial post-registration experience working in complex healthcare settings.
* Professional portfolio which demonstrates continuing professional development, evidence of ability to maintain professional registration.
