The Deputy Chief People Officer is an important professional role, pivotal to the transformation of our Trust and our ambitions to be a great place to work and receive care. Key to developing and maintaining strong relationships with all members of our internal people community this role will be responsible for engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. This role provides strong and inspirational leadership to help influence and change the development of our people processes and will be responsible for ensuring a fresh approach to all people related services. To deliver great healthcare, by great people, this role will be a key influence in the development and growth of our people Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Deputy Chief People Officer, is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of an ambitious organisational people strategy encompassing all aspects of people and culture including strategic workforce planning, employment, leadership and organisational development. You will lead and manage a team of Human Resources professionals to support delivery of the Trust’s strategic and operational priorities, working in partnership with Care Organisations and corporate functions to provide collaborative best practice People and Culture advice including: employee relations, resourcing, performance, and workforce redesign and talent management. Lead the implementation of the People Strategy and supporting plans ensuring these are directly linked to the Trust strategic objectives, working with the Chief People Officer and the Associate Director of People and Culture and Head of Organisational Development and Learning. Develop People polices, frameworks, processes and management information and tools to support best practice people management and organisational development, overseeing the delivery of the SLA and KPIs for HR and OH Services together support solutions. Develop and implement the strategic workforce plan aligned to Trust demand, capacity and financial plans working in partnership with the care groups leadership teams and People and Culture Business Partners. Work with the Head of People and Culture Services to develop and deliver a proactive and forward-looking recruitment and retention strategy, which enables the organisation to deliver both current and longer-term workforce plans together with plans to be an employer of choice. Support the design and implementation of organisational development initiatives working closely with Executive Directors and Care Organisation Leadership Teams to deliver improvements in quality, culture and patient care and experience.
