About the Role
The Head of People will lead and manage the People Business Partners and People Service Delivery team. This role is crucial in delivering and implementing key elements of the People strategy that align to the company's objectives and foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
The successful candidate will oversee employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, health and wellbeing, compensation and benefits, service delivery, policies and procedures to support the organisation's growth and success.
We are looking for someone who can:
* Develop and implement people strategies that align with the company goals and promote a positive workplace culture.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate people initiatives into the overall business strategy.
* Manage and develop the people business partners and people service delivery team.
* Continually encourage new ideas and ways of working to improve compliance of the workforce, candidate and employee experience on all people related activity.
* Partner with senior managers on forecasting workforce requirements for departments and hospitals
* Lead and support the People Business Partners and liaise with Head of Resourcing to ensure the right resource is in the right place at the right times for the totality of the workforce.
* Manage the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with relevant regulation in line with business needs and colleague feedback.
* Conduct market research to benchmark compensation and benefits against industry standards.
* To lead the annual Great Places to Work accreditation by creating a positive and engaging work environment to foster employee satisfaction, motivation, and loyalty.
* Act as an advisor to the People Business Partner team on case management. Oversee, monitor the overall activity including presenteeism, informal and formal cases. Advise management and deputise for the Chief People Office as and when needed.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Full CIPD qualified/equivalent HR degree qualified
* Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced working environment
* Experience working within healthcare is advantageous, but not essential
* Highly organised with excellent planning skills
* Experience working in a matrix structure
* Able to combine strategic thinking with HR operational knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, but also to work independently
* Proactive and adaptable
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* A practical and common-sense approach to HR related matters
* Self-motivated and driven individual
