With a new ‘challenger’ brand strategy in the works and an ambitious growth plan, we’re looking for a whip-smart earned media expert who can re-energise the UW brand and take our marketing and communications to new heights.
We’re looking for someone who can harness the full potential of earned media, going beyond traditional press and PR to take control of our narrative and deliver campaigns that cut through to drive brand awareness and consideration.

* Experience of working both agency-side and in-house would be an advantage.
* Experience of press office, managing reactive / crisis communications and an ability to pre-empt and diffuse potentially difficult issues for the business.
* Experience working on challenger brands would be an advantage, as would some knowledge of energy, telecoms and/or financial services (or other highly regulated sectors).
* Strong relationships with a range of national and consumer media.
* To be totally plugged into the consumer media and social/influencer landscape with the ability to set strategy, ensure implementation to a high standard and be able to demonstrate understanding of effective evaluation.
* Strategic thinker with strong commercial understanding and excellent writing, speaking and presenting skills.
* An innovative self-starter who enjoys shaping the agenda and developing ideas and plans from the ground up.
* Energised by change, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and the imagination to apply new and different ways of thinking.
* Resilient, with a growth mindset, comfortable with ambiguity.
* A confident communicator, who can influence and galvanise senior stakeholders, and create excitement and alignment around their ideas.
* Organised, responsive, resourceful and able to juggle competing business priorities.
* A passionate leader with the ability to inspire and develop your direct reports and wider teams, set standards and drive key results.
