First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Stock and Supply Chain Manager on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will responsible for reviewing and managing stock holding of finished and raw material goods while managing our suppliers to ensure our Company objectives are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To maintain accurate stock records for both finished and raw material goods.
2. To review minimum stock holding levels for both finished and raw material goods.
3. To ensure and validate regular physical stock checks are carried out by the warehouse team.
4. To highlight stock rotation issues and ensure obsolete and short dated stock is kept to a minimum.
5. To investigate stock discrepancies and shortages to determine root causes.
6. To manage the current approved supply base to ensure OTIF availability of stock.
7. Support periodic meetings with suppliers to ensure OTIF availability of raw materials.
8. To take the lead on resolving supply chain related issues.
9. To manage supplier purchase contracts.
10. To regularly review cost of materials to ensure the best value of goods and services.
11. To lead the sourcing of new raw materials, services and their suppliers as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
12. Must have proven supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
13. Must have strong inventory control experience.
14. Strong communication skills.
15. Strong computer and administration skills
16. Must be responsible, committed and positive.
Location: Smethwick
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
