Bookkeeper Location: Hartley Wintney, Hook Job Type: Full-time, Perm or Temp to Perm Reports to: Managing Director We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial activities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance, looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment. Day-to-day of the role: Sales Ledger: Raising and posting invoices. Factoring debtors to outsourced credit control provider. Matching receipts. Reconciliation and allocations. Purchase Ledger : Processing purchase invoices for approval. Processing credit card purchases. Weekly processing of purchase ledger payments. Reconciliation and allocations. Month End Process : Producing the management accounts in a timely manner. Bank : Daily bank reconciliations. Managing treasury deposits. Payroll : Resolving payroll anomalies for hourly staff. Compiling monthly payroll adjustments for outsourced payroll bureau. Generating the monthly payroll journal. Audit and Regulatory : Liaising with auditors and tax advisors. Managing CIS returns, RHI energy scheme returns, and VAT returns. Ad Hoc Analysis as required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in a varied finance role. Strong understanding of management accounts. Full or part qualified or qualified by experience. Proficiency in Excel.
