What you'll be doing:
As a Financial Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the FP&A team in the financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities across the business. You will work closely with senior finance professionals to ensure accurate financial data is provided to support decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reviews. This role will focus on driving financial insights and contributing to the financial strategy for the organisation.
* Financial Planning & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Analyse financial performance, highlight trends, variances, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
* Financial Reporting & Dashboards: Develop custom financial reports and dashboards in MS Power Apps or integrate with other reporting tools to enhance visualisation of financial data. Provide real-time insights into financial performance for management and key stakeholders, including metrics support and KPI management.
* Finance Business Partnering and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with operational and senior business teams to provide financial insights and advice, ensuring alignment between finance and business strategies. Collaborate with non-financial stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver financial insights that support strategic objectives. Present financial data and results in a clear, concise manner to diverse audiences. Supporting production of project business cases.
* Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive financial tasks (e.g., data entry, reporting) using appropriate tools to drive efficiency within the FP&A function.
* Data Analysis & Modelling: Conduct financial data analysis to support decision-making. Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections. Use advanced Excel functions, MS Power Apps, and coding to enhance the functionality of models.
What we’re looking for:
* Financial Analyst Experience: Significant experience in a Financial Analyst role, preferably within a financial services company or a similar high-performance environment.
* FP&A Expertise: Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with a solid understanding of financial metrics and business drivers.
* Business Partnering: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with non-financial stakeholders and support business decisions through financial analysis and advice.
* Strong Analytical Ability: Expertise in synthesising complex, unstructured data into actionable insights and making recommendations to senior management.
* Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in using Excel for financial modelling, reporting, and analysis.
