Role - Operations Manager Location - Manchester Salary - £up to £75k plus car allowance, bonus and package (Neg depending on experience) Housing Permanent roleThe role Linsco is working with a leading Housing company who is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team due to growth. Ideally, we are looking for someone who comes from a social housing background however my client will also consider other housing experience including new build and residential Duties Provide Health and safety leadership to operational management team and their site delivery teams, ensuring all works are carried out in a safe manner and does not cause risk to our installers, Residents and the general public. Liaising closely with the Operational Support Team to ensure all contracts are carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and in a compliant way to ensure quality and compliance standards are met Creating operational delivery targets and ensuring all projects meet or exceed these targets. Work with our Senior Management team to build and strengthen our supply chain. Ensure our suppliers, subcontractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Installation standards Oversee operational on-site delivery teams to ensure works cause minimal disruption for Residents and ensure areas are always kept clean and tidy. Ensure appropriate training is provided to our operational delivery teams including where necessary toolbox talks, daily activity briefings, Health & Safety training, and NVQ/Vocational qualifications Maintain accurate records of progress and performance on all Projects and share this with the Senior Management team and Board. Liaise with the Operational Support team to ensure materials are ordered on time and to meet specification requirements for all projects. Ensure all Projects are carried out to the highest possible standard complying with relevant industry and system manufacturers' standards, completed, snagged and defect free. Lead and support on site operational delivery teams to deliver the company's senior management expectations successfully across all key areas of the projects, managing and supporting the individuals and team that are under your control to meet and exceed business performance targets.Extra bits Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of an operations Manager overseeing multiple Projects. Experience of working in occupied buildings/homes Experience of managing health and safety procedures along with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid (preferred) Competent user of IT software packages including MS Office or similar tablet-based quality assurance software. Competent user of programme scheduling software (preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of organisational ability along with time management skills in order to drive and meet deadlines. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken. Commitment to providing a high-quality service demonstrating reliability, conscientiousness and flexibility (essential). Adept at working in a team and providing leadership/support to fellow team members (essential). Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of energy efficiency measures utilised within the public sector. Excellent interpersonal skills, with clear and confident written and verbal communication skills. Inspirational leader able to build and develop a strong and highly committed team.
