Job summary
We are recruiting to the position of Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Assistant.
This is an exciting time to join the Trust and support the EPRR Manager in further developing our capacity in Emergency Preparedness Resilience & Response (EPRR).
We welcome applications from individuals with a strong foundation Business Administration gained within a healthcare setting, and with a keen interest in Emergency Preparedness Resilience & Response, or that have the prerequisite transferable skills to able to support the EPRR Manager as we operationalise our plans to improve our resilience.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the EPRR Manager in provision of a continued state of preparedness for the Trust to respond to any major or significant incident both planned and unscheduled ensuring that measures are in place to maintain continuity of its core business.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the EPRR Manager to ensure that legal and regulatory requirements that apply to the trust are met including training, planning and co-ordination working with the local resilience forum and multi-agency partners.
The post holder will support the development of excellence in emergency planning that the trust holds and seek to develop good practice, learning lessons from experiences of other exercises and events nationally.
The post holder will support in ensuring that emergency planning and resilience become an integral part of business planning, strategy and operations across the Trust.

Essential
1. Key Skills in literacy (level 2) and numeracy (level 2)
2. Degree, or NVQ Level 5 in Business Administration and/or equivalent knowledge and experience working in a field which is relevant to this role. project administration, emergency planning etc
3. ITQ Level 2/ECDL or equivalent
4. Knowledge of administrative and organisational policies and procedures.
5. Ability to demonstrate capability to study at undergraduate level.
Desirable
6. Diploma or Award in Health Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response.
7. Business Continuity Certificate
8. Attendance of courses at Emergency Planning College / Public Health England Courses relating to EPRR

9. Experience of working in a large organisation.
10. Experience of working in the Public Sector / NHS.
11. Experience of managing multiple workstreams and completing them to strict deadlines.
12. Experience in the delivery of timely, concise and accurate information
