The Opportunity:
My client are a technology software house who are currently looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer on a permanent basis based in Exeter, Devon.
In this role you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining their cutting-edge software applications adhering to agile principles with Scrum as the chosen methodology.
You will be passionate about technology, thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment and have a strong proficiency in a wide range of technologies including React, Next JS, Playwright and Typescript; and if you had proficiency in anything such as Cucumber or Jest that would be desirable but isn’t essential.
Skills and Experience:
* 5 + years’ experience in Frontend Software Development
* Expertise in React and Next.js and solid experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries.
* Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5, and component libraries like UI.
* Good knowledge of back-end technologies, particularly C# and .NET.
* Experience integrating front-end and back-end services, with a deep understanding of APIs.
* Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, and Cucumber.
* A proven ability to mentor and lead junior developers.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss both front-end and back-end concepts with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience with SEO optimisation for web applications and lead-generation websites.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerisation (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
* Knowledge of design patterns and best practices for both front-end and back-end systems.
