Purpose Statement: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Livingston, UK. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and compliance by leading the investigation and resolution of non-conformances and customer complaints. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations. Key Job Accountabilities: QMS Management: Lead the development, deployment, and oversight of site-level QMS metrics to monitor process effectiveness and compliance. Product Compliance: Ensure product compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Plexus standards. Change Management: Review and approve all changes and deviations from established procedures, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Validation & Audits: Support the development and execution of validation activities. Lead the coordination of internal and external audits, including customer audits and QMS recertification activities. Non-Conformance & Complaint Resolution: Lead the investigation and resolution of non-conformances and customer complaints through root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and containment activities. Quality Assurance: Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure quality compliance, identify and address quality issues, and lead containment and purge activities as needed. Quality Training & Awareness: Educate operators and production teams on quality procedures and best practices to foster a strong quality culture. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Previous experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply structured problem-solving methodologies. Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills. Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 preferred). Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
