ROLE DESCRIPTION
My client is looking to recruit a Head of Business Development. This role will be targeting stadia events, exhibitions, trade shows and corporate events.
As the Head of Business Development, your mission will be to secure exclusive or preferred supplier status with key players in the industry, driving my clients growth and solidifying their position as the go-to choice for high-quality hospitality event services.
This role is about expanding their reach, strengthening their market presence, and ensuring that their name becomes synonymous with exceptional service in the hospitality events space.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Development: Target and secure exclusive or preferred supplier status with high-value accounts, focusing on top players in the hospitality sector.
Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to contract execution, ensuring seamless delivery and tracking KPIs to measure success and drive growth.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including major hospitality providers, event organisers, and venue managers, to secure long-term partnerships
Industry Leadership: Leverage your extensive industry experience and extensive network of contacts to position my client as the preferred partner in hospitality events, driving market penetration and business growth
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and maintain a competitive advantage
Develop best practice frameworks, driving efficiency and maximising business opportunities.
Oversee the sales strategy and budget, setting clear targets and ensuring timely reporting.
Work closely with the operations and events teams to foster shared learnings, drive efficiencies, and optimise resource allocation.
Requirements
Extensive experience in the hospitality events industry, with a strong background working with large international event and hospitality companies.
Well-established network, particularly with key accounts in the hospitality event space
Senior-level profile with significant recognition and influence within the industry
Proven track record in securing and managing high-value partnerships in the hospitality sector
Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of closing large-scale deals and securing favourable terms
Strong industry knowledge with the ability to anticipate trends and adapt strategies to maintain competitive positioning
