The job itself
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and suitably experienced Lead Teacher for Performing Arts, who will strive to make a substantial difference to the lives of our students, our academy, and the wider community.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of Performing Arts in the school and will have considerable autonomy in developing an innovative, ambitious, and comprehensive provision for what will be an exciting new chapter at our academy. This position is full time and permanent, commencing September 2025.

About You
You should have a degree in a relevant subject, with proven success in teaching music along with a record of successful professional practice and CPD.
You should also have a clear understanding of what makes good and outstanding learning, teaching, and assessment, and will lead by example, with a commitment to collaborative working, both internally and with other schools, to improve outcomes. Additionally, you should have the ability to develop opportunities, initiatives, and partnerships to derive maximum benefit for the school and its stakeholders.
All employees must ensure they work within the policies and procedures as laid out by the Trust and provide a good role model for young people, both in and out of the school environment. All teaching staff are expected to meet the national core standards for professionals at all times.
