Our team ensures high quality, consistency and reliability for all products throughout the complete life-cycle of our flexible pipe systems manufacturing.
Collaborate with dynamic, cross-functional and international teams
You will be responsible for implementing a defect free culture across the business, enhancing the reliability in our process, product, and services to improve our customer experience. You will play an essential role in collaborating with various functions to drive Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) down and increase First Time Yield (FTY). You will support all on-site quality needs and audit requests, lead continuous improvement activities, conduct top issues RCA and present outcomes to customers and senior leaders.
As a Quality Engineer Leader, you will be responsible for:
* Leading by example to exemplify the Baker Hughes core value, including care, lead, collaborate, and grow. You must observe the business non-negotiable to uphold safety, integrity, and quality.
* Building a team of high-performing quality engineers, deploying a purpose-built defect reduction program, and delivering a reduction in cost of poor quality (COPQ).
* Enforcing COPQ governance, controlling, and monitoring trends over time, identifying actions to drive COPQ reduction proactively.
* Engaging cross-functional teams to see defects as opportunities and holding teams accountable in rapid problem-solving activities.
* Driving a defect-free culture across the organization. Building quality assurance in our processes and taking evidence-based lessons learned to strengthen our QMS.
* Leading top issue RCA with effective corrective and preventive action, being able to communicate succinctly and present findings to customers and senior management.
* Assisting in analysis, reporting, monitoring, and training involving audit items.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
* Have a BSc. in STEM or business discipline or equivalent experience.
* Have good experience in manufacturing operations.
* Have financial acumen in cost accounting and budget.
* Have experience in QMS and audit processes. Deep understanding of compliance requirements, including ISO9001:2015, API Q1.
* Have very good communication and presentation skills to all levels of audience, conduct townhall briefings and leadership report outs.
* Have experience in evidence-based management methods. Knowledge in statistical analysis and process control methods.
* Have working knowledge of Windows software, including Mini Tab, MS Project, and advanced use of Excel spreadsheets.
* Have Lean Six Sigma Black Belt knowledge, ability to implement Quality programs/systems and achieve measurable goals.
