The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new sales within specific areas (our own manufactured water blades, fire features and more) of steel fabrication, targeting key products, and securing lucrative contracts. With this being the first dedicated sales role within our expanding business, there is significant potential for career progression and professional development. Key Responsibilities: New Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within the metal fabrication market. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients. Product Focus: Promote and sell a targeted range of metal fabrication products and services Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities. Contract Acquisition: Lead contract negotiations and secure new business agreements. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proposals meet client specifications and requirements. Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target companies. Provide exceptional customer service and support to foster long-term partnerships. Market Expansion: Explore and penetrate new markets and geographical areas. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads. Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics. Regularly report on sales activities, progress, and performance metrics to the Managing Director. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in a sales role within the steel fabrication or related industry. Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, products, and market dynamics. Demonstrated ability to generate new business and close sales deals. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for sales and business development. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and time management skills. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
