National Account Manager – Grocery
Alexander Steele are delighted to be working exclusively with two premium UK-based craft and artisan food businesses. Known for their exceptional quality and innovation, these brands supply directly into the UK’s major grocery retailers and are growing rapidly across the retail channel.
Up to £60k base + bonus + wider package
Home-based with travel to customers and offices
Key Responsibilities:
* Grow and develop sales within the grocery retail channel, managing relationships with major UK retailers.
* Drive customer engagement and business performance through strong commercial execution and brand advocacy.
* Deliver joint business plans with customers, aligning strategic goals and ensuring best-in-class service.
* Collaborate cross-functionally across supply chain, marketing and operations to deliver customer-specific initiatives.
* Monitor performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities.
* Build long-term partnerships that reinforce both brands’ positions as leaders in the artisan and craft food space.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Proven experience in a National Account Manager role working with UK grocery retailers.
* Strong track record of driving sales growth and delivering against targets.
* Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen and the ability to take strategic decisions.
* Relationship builder with high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skill.
* Able to influence both internal stakeholders and external customers at a senior level.
* Agile, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for premium food and drink brands.
