An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Manager within Children's Services at both Arrowe Park Hospital and St Catherine's Health Centre sites.
The successful candidate should be organised, approachable and happy to help.
This post is to cover office hours between 09:00 until 17:00. Working hours can be negotiated on appointment.
Main duties of the job
This interesting and varied role requires the ability to work well on your own initiative whilst being committed to teamwork as you will need to work with others to meet the patients' needs.
This position also requires good communication skills, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and is able to represent the department with due professionalism.
You will be responsible for implementing and managing systems for the office/team workload, ensuring work is completed within strict timescales.
You will need to exercise your judgement and initiative based on experience and knowledge of arising problems and taking appropriate action to resolve situations, including follow up with investigation results, ensuring that all results are presented to medical staff and subsequently auctioned/filed into patients' medical records.
You will have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise your workload and to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.

Job responsibilities
If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.
As this vacancy is within the division of Women and Children, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service. The cost of joining the update service is £16 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust. Further details of how to join the update service will be provided upon appointment.
