As a Process Controller you will be required to monitor and control the quality of all processes within the factory. Any issues or concerns with quality must be highlighted to the area Line Controller, Operation Team Leader or Department Manager for immediate corrective action. Effective liaison, team working and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is fundamental. The job is performed mainly in a temperature controlled area and involves extensive periods standing. Shift : A Shift : 223 shift pattern 06:00-18:00, Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, Week 2 Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. Department : RTC Free bus from Sleaford, Lincoln, Boston and Grantham. Duties/responsibilities To carryout tasks as trained. To advise managers when not trained for tasks you are being asked to carry out. Not to undertake any tasks where training has not taken place. To work in a manner that promotes the health and safety of oneself and others. To report any health and safety issues to your immediate manager. To report any accidents or near missus to the first aider in the area. To set a good example of behaviour. To work in a manner which ensures Quality and Hygiene standards are maintained in the production environment. To ensure productivity standards are maintained You may be asked to work in any area of the business as and when demand requires it. To carryout a reasonable amount of overtime or to work outside core hours to meet orders and demand of the business. To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc. To be ready at the start of shift, to carry out specified checks in an accurate, timely and methodical manner, causing the minimum of delay or disruption to the production process To record all information, generated throughout the shift, on the appropriate sheets, accurately and legibly. This will enable production management to check details of product, quality etc, throughout the shift. To quickly report any anomalies to the appropriate manager so that corrective action may be taken. To ensure any equipment needed, is available and functioning and ready to hand, to enable completion of checks in a competent and efficient manner To be able to check and operate all designated weighing, measuring or monitoring equipment, to ensure it is fully operational and accurate within specifications To acquaint ones self with changes to product specifications to product specifications and testing procedures as they evolve, thus ensuring operation to the current standard expected At shift change over, ensure all relevant information, documentation and equipment is passed to the oncoming Process Controller. This will ensure the continuity of operation and draw the process controller’s attention to any areas of particular concern Any other duties that are required.
