About the Role: As a Clinical Support Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of care by managing and resolving complaints from our client care homes. You will handle a variety of concerns, including disciplinary issues and clinical errors, ensuring that each case is thoroughly investigated, documented, and resolved in accordance with our policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for care homes raising concerns related to temporary staff performance and conduct.
* Investigate complaints, including clinical errors, disciplinary breaches, and service issues, ensuring a fair and timely resolution.
* Maintain a robust documentation process, logging and tracking all incidents to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
* Liaise with temporary staff regarding complaints, conducting interviews and gathering statements as required.
* Implement corrective actions, including disciplinary measures and additional training when necessary.
* Work closely with internal teams, including recruitment and compliance, to ensure only the highest standards of care are delivered.
* Provide regular reports and insights to management on complaint trends, highlighting areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant care regulations and internal company policies.
* Work closely with the nurse manager to ensure strong professional relationships are maintained with our clients
* Occasional site visits with clients
Skills & Experience Required:
* SVQ level 3 in Health/Social care is a must
* Recent experience in administering of medication
* Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role within a care home setting.
* Strong understanding of care home regulations, clinical procedures, and best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
* Strong organizational skills with experience in maintaining accurate records and reports.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
* A compassionate but firm approach to dealing with staff performance and complaints.
