Band 6 Stroke Rehab Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Stroke Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in an inpatient setting in Leicester. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of stroke patients as they work through their rehabilitation journey. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care and support to patients in their recovery process.
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £25 - £26 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time (Part-time applications welcome)

Key Responsibilities
1. Conducting thorough assessments of stroke patients and developing individualised rehabilitation plans.
2. Providing therapeutic interventions to enhance independence and mobility.
3. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and medical professionals.
4. Supporting patients in regaining activities of daily living (ADLs) and promoting functional independence.
5. Delivering evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to the needs of each patient.
6. Monitoring and documenting patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
7. Providing education and support to patients and their families on stroke recovery and rehabilitation.
8. Ensuring all therapy practices adhere to the highest professional and clinical standards.
Skills and Experience
1. HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
2. Proven experience in stroke rehabilitation, preferably in an inpatient setting.
3. Strong clinical reasoning skills and experience in developing and implementing treatment plans.
4. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
6. Ability to manage a varied caseload and work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Experience with outcome measurement tools and documentation.
