Your role: We are looking for an Industrial Placement Civil Engineer for our Water team to be based in Dublin, from Autumn 2025 - Autumn 2026. With offices in both Dublin and Belfast and plans for further expansion, we look forward to delivering a range of projects on both the Uisce Eireann and the Northern Ireland water frameworks in the coming years. To support future growth across our Early Careers Team, we have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Placement Student to join our Water team based in Belfast. This will be an office based placement for a period of up to 12 months. We are ideally seeking a student working towards a degree in Civil Engineering. As an Industrial Placement student working with Stantec you will be assisting our Water team in the design and delivery of key projects across public sector frameworks and your duties will include the following: Supporting the production of technical reports, cost estimates, contract documentation and contract management for a variety of water and wastewater projects Work closely with the technician resource in the delivery of outputs to agreed deadlines Liaise with the design teams on active projects and to manage and procure deliverables on time Support the preparation of technical reports Accompany Senior Engineers on site visits and inspections Stantec have recently appointed with Joint Venture partner Ryan Hanley to the Irish Water Engineering Design Services Framework. The Joint Venture will support Irish Water's Business Plan objectives up to 2027, which will see a €3.5bn investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.
