Overview of the role:
Hours and location: 50 hours per week Monday to Friday – 07:00 – 17:00. Overtime after 40 hours.
The role will be based at Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Ward have a new opportunity for a Transport Compliance Administrator to join our busy team based at Ward, Crompton Road, Ilkeston (DE7 4BG) supporting day to day administrative activity supporting a busy Transport yard.
Ward operate a fleet of over 120 vehicles and therefore it is essential that you have experience in a Transport Administrator role or similar. The role will be based in a busy transport yard working alongside our team of drivers, you will not only assist with the administration but you will also conduct spot checks on the interior of our vehicles and be available to assist in the transporting of our drivers to other sites and for medicals etc therefore a valid UK driving license is essential. This a diverse role working within a fast paced environment, you must be adaptable and have the ability to prioritise your workload effectively and work with a high degree of care and attention.
You will be a team player with excellent administration skills, strong IT skills and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Transport compliance Administrator will provide a range of administrative support to include;
* Processing compliance documents
* Updating spreadsheets
* Defect reporting
* Organising driver training
* Processing vehicle documents
* Damage reporting
* Daily KPI reporting
* Assisting with purchase orders
* Inspecting the interior of vehicles
* Occasional transportation of colleagues
* Day to day administrative duties
* Booking vehicle inspections/MOT.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Its essential that you have experience within a transport environment and hold a valid UK driving license.
