CONTEXT FOR THE ROLE
The Presbytery of Perth was formed on January 1st 2023 and there are 115 Charges. It is a large Presbytery, taking in three cities, large towns and rural areas.
Main purpose of role:
Oversee the financial affairs of the Presbytery, ensuring compliance with good practice and statutory requirements, to fulfil the role of Presbytery Treasurer and to train local congregational treasurers and bookkeepers to fulfil all of their financial obligations.

We seek an individual to work alongside the Ministry Team, to take on the Pastoral Care Coordinator role within the Lower Earn Network (Abernethy, Aberdalgie & Forteviot, Dunbarney & Forgandenny). You will manage the range and quality of pastoral care and work alongside us, with a God-given passion for compassionate care for others and a desire to bring God’s presence, comfort, strength and hope to anyone in need.
As such, the Pastoral Care Coordinator is expected to be actively involved in the life of the congregations. Whilst there is no requirement for the individual to live in the parish, it is expected that their activities will take place within the geographical bounds of the Lower Earn Network.

TRFS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Peripatetic Workplace Internal Verifier/Assessor to join our dedicated Learning & Development team. As a part of our close-knit team of SVQ Assessors/Internal Verifiers, you will be instrumental in supporting our SQA Approved Centre, which was awarded “high confidence” from SQA and “outstanding” feedback in our latest external verifications.
You will assess and internally verify candidates in Social Services and Healthcare at SVQ Levels 2, 3, and 4, ensuring adherence to SQA and TRFS standards. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding learners through the SVQ process, utilising our e-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) and fostering a positive learning environment. You'll manage a caseload of candidates, also play a key role in the ongoing coordination, administration, and evaluation of SVQ delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and internally verify candidate portfolios.
* Utilise the Smart Assessor e-portfolio system.
* Meet with candidates, set goals, and ensure timely progress.
* Liaise with service managers and candidates to gather evidence.
* Contribute to the continuous development of the qualifications agenda at TRFS.
* Facilitate learning opportunities and provide support to candidates.
* Maintain accurate records, provide management information and contribute to quality assurance processes.
* Work autonomously to manage caseload and drive success.
What We're Looking For:
* In-depth knowledge of the SVQ internal verification and assessment process.
* Experience in SVQ assessment and verification.
* SVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent (essential).
* Assessment qualification, D32, D33, A1, or LD 9I award (or commitment to attain within 12 months for the right applicant).
* Driving licence and access to your own car.
* Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational, time-management, and IT skills (Microsoft 365).
* Ability to work to targets and deadlines, proactive planning and prioritisation.
* A passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to our values.
* L&D experience in the non-profit sector.
* Experience with portfolio or learning management systems.
An opportunity has arisen for a full-time project worker to join the team at our Kharis Court residential service for young people experiencing homelessness in West Lothian on a fixed-term basis from April 2025 to provide maternity cover for a period of 12 months.
The project provides accommodation to young men and women 16-25 years of age in a four-bed communal living setting and also within single-supported flats. The project is located in Bathgate, West Lothian.
You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring that a 24-hour warden service is in place through the working of shifts (including sleepovers & weekends). You will help to provide emotional and practical support to individuals, enabling them to learn independent living skills through support planning, assessments and key working. A team player with good communication skills, you will have experience and knowledge of our service user group and their surrounding issues.
Competence in the use of Microsoft Office tools is essential. An SVQ 3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a ‘Housing Support Worker’ is desirable coupled with the experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people.

We are looking for Pathways Coordinators for Culloden Academy and Golspie High School, to work with young people, mentors and school staff involved in our programme.
About the role:
You will be an integral part of the school community and wider MCR team and be the key person delivering the MCR programme to young people in the school.
Key responsibilities:
* Helping to build exceptional individual relationships with young people across S1 to S6 and delivering S1 & S2 group work.
* Helping to drive volunteer mentor recruitment. Consistently supporting, actively engaging and motivating mentors from training through the length of their engagement with the programme.
* Actively support MCR young people to set, experience then follow their education and employment pathways.
* Evidence progression, impact and best practice with YP input, quantitative feedback and qualitative case studies.
About you:
* Exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships with young people aged 11-18 years, education colleagues, volunteer mentors and local employers.
* Awareness and understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection.
* Ability and confidence to present programme information & deliver prepared training sessions to groups.
* Ability to work well on own initiative, as part of a team and on a flexible basis in response to young person and organisational need.
* An understanding of the challenges and barriers that care-experienced and/or vulnerable young people may encounter.
* Experience or a knowledge of processes to document and evidence good practice and positive outcomes.
You may have experience as a Youth, Community or Advice Worker. You will be an empathetic person who is open minded, non-judgemental, resilient and who is driven to improve outcomes for care experienced and other vulnerable young people.
