We are currently seeking to recruit the Head of our Specification team, who is responsible for leading an agile and enthused sales team to profitably grow New Build and Specification sales across the channel. What are we looking for in our Head of Specification? • Experienced leader, and excellent communicator to motivate and inspire a team of 6 Key Account Managers and 2 Sales Agents • Ability to influence people to win contracts and product sales • Strong presentation skills and negotiation skills • Strong Knowledge of current Building Regulations and specification/new build space • IT literate • Target driven • Self motivated • Hungry to succeed and instil the right behaviours and sales culture within the team What does the Head of Specification actually do? • To lead and develop a national team of KAM’s and Sales Agents to deliver against the business plan within the UK national contractor, developer and consultancy customer base • Deliver profitable market share growth and increased sales, and a consistent on target performance • Create a climate of accountability and empowerment with team members to ensure exceptional and consistent customer experience. • Act as the main link between the Company and our Sales Agents providing support, training, sales and marketing collateral • Fully understand our customer’s key business drivers and emerging needs to ensure customer-centric solutions are created and executed in line with business plans. • Manage cross functional relationships within our Marketing and R & D department, to enable customer innovation and market leading products • Develop sales strategies that can be employed against competitors to win business and be aware of competitor sales strategies. • Ensure high standards of sales excellence are achieved through diligent sales management, process adherence and CRM usage. • Implement an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process. • Ensure strategic plans are in place for territories in line with the overall strategy to grow our customer base whilst developing existing business with key customers in the region. • Line management responsibilities; such as recruitment, induction, training, appraisal, development and performance management of staff. • Accompany KAM’s / Sales Agents on sales visits and assist with winning/securing and protecting major business opportunities. • Speak at conferences and events about the company’s products and services. • Negotiate high level, commercial agreements for contracts with customers. • To continually study and ensure an acceptable understanding of building regulations, legislation and other technical requirements. • Work cross functionally within the business with other sales divisions to maximise opportunities and sales and profit What’s it like to work for EnviroVent Ltd?
