A challenging opportunity for a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer has arisen within identifi Global Resources.
Salary: £42,500 - £47,500 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
Location: Northamptonshire, with occasional visits to the office required.
We are seeking an experienced professional who can ensure the quality and reliability of our network applications written in C#. The successful candidate will create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated testing solutions. They will work closely with the development and engineering team to deliver high-quality, bug-free applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and debugging skills, as well as experience in defining test environments and planning tests. They should be able to write and design manual and automated tests, develop test cases, and communicate discovered product issues with the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Scope, design, write, and deploy manual and automated tests to confirm feature functionality, security, performance, and reliability of software.
* Recommend third-party tools for testing software functionality.
* Review and improve technical documentation and user guides.
* Liaise with cross-department teams to deliver quality products.
Requirements:
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
* Experience in defining test environments and planning tests.
* Experience in writing and designing manual and automated tests and testing.
* Developing test cases and writing scripts.
* Ability to communicate discovered product issues with the wider team.
* Experience with source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
* Understanding of Secure Development Lifecycle.
* History of creating test plans and test suites for automation.
* Ability to provide constructive feedback and guide improvements in code quality and testing practices.
