I am recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join my client based on the outskirts of Norwich. This is a full time, permanent position and parking is provided on site. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will work with the purchasing department on the day to day management of a group of supplier accounts. Duties include: Support the Procurement team in the development of product category strategies by undertaking market analysis and research. Take accountability for a small product category to support future development Support Buyers where necessary Manage vendor invoice queries and resolve in agreed timescales Liaise with vendors on quality problems in conjunction with company quality standards Raise and manage purchase orders Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Manager Requirements for the role: Recognised qualification in purchasing or business administration would be ideal Some experience in a purchasing or technical sales function Strong negotiation skills Strong IT skills Full driving license Interviews are commencing immediately.
