Summary As the public face of our Murlough National Nature Reserve, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the reserve, answer questions and make sure everyone has a safe, enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: £11.64 per hour (rising in April) Contract/duration: 0 hours, Fixed Term contract until 5 October 2025 This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible. Hours/working pattern: Flexible working with more hours in June, July and August. Typical shifts are 10am - 4pm and 10am - 6pm. What it's like to work here Murlough National Nature Reserve was Ireland's first Nature Reserve and is an internationally designated site due to the special habitats in the 6,000 year old dunes. You'll work as part of a small welcome team to welcome visitors and help keep facilities clean and tidy during our main visitor season. What you'll be doing You'll welcome visitors to Murlough, help take payments as needed and provide information about the Nature Reserve as well as work with the Ranger team to make sure everyone has a safe day out. Welcome and Service teams are responsible for opening the toilets and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day. We're looking for someone who has a passion for the outdoors and a love of nature, as well as enjoying working with people and ensuring visitors have a good time.
