Social Work Practice Development Lead
All about the Role
Our Children’s services here at PCC are looking for a Practice Development Lead to lead the training and development offer and drive forward practice improvements.
Working with the Head of Inspection, Improvement and Innovation and Service Director for Practice, you will be assisting in the delivery of improvement and transformation priorities across Children and Young People’s Services.
What will you be doing?
1. Designing, coordinating and delivering training.
2. Leading the refresh of the Family Safeguarding practice model.
3. Contributing to the children’s services vision – keeping children and families at the heart of everything we do.
4. Creating supporting information documents including leaflets and presentations.
5. Managing and monitoring new projects and programmes.
6. Developing a good ‘practice’ resource bank for practitioners and managers.

1. You are confident and creative; able to deliver informative and engaging training, adapted to relevant audiences.
2. You have impeccable organisation and communication skills.
3. You have sound knowledge of social work practice frameworks and expertise in the practice and delivery of social work for children across a range of settings.
4. You are able to work under pressure and can prioritise tasks efficiently.
