Assistant Management Accountant | Fast-Growth Design Consultancy | London (Hybrid) Harmonic are delighted to be working with a well-established B2B design business in their search for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. The business is highly regarded in the industry, known for its innovative designs and strong company culture that encourages growth and development. This position will report to the Management Accountant and comes with a study support package to support professional progression. Having recently expanded its operations, our client is looking for an ambitious individual who can enhance the efficiency of the finance function and take ownership of key management accounting responsibilities from day one. Working within a high-calibre finance team, this role offers an excellent opportunity for progression, with a clear pathway to becoming a Management Accountant within 12 months. Based in a beautifully designed office, you will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team. Despite its impressive growth and industry recognition, the business has retained its non-corporate, sociable culture, with regular team events, company lunches, and industry gatherings throughout the year. Responsibilities: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations. Conduct overhead analysis to ensure correct cost allocation and provide material variance commentary. Reconcile prepayments, accruals, and expense accounts, liaising with AP for any discrepancies. Prepare and post fixed asset depreciation journals and reconcile related accounts. Support gross profit analysis at a job level, investigating variances against quotes. Perform trend analysis and provide insightful P&L commentary on key accounts. Prepare weekly cash flow analysis and assist with intercompany recharges. Contribute to process improvements and assist with ad-hoc finance projects across multiple entities.
