The Role:
As Facilities Management Business Analyst, you can make your own powerful contribution in a team who are going to change how things are done across the Council. The Facilities Management Workplace team are at the heart of a function which looks after corporate property. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll provide business analysis for a range of projects. These will include the Digital Mail project and the development of the Corporate Property Management platform. Your remit will range from developing technical requirements and facilitating workshops, through to supporting software testing.
It’s all about making decisions based on data, so you’ll work across diverse departments to develop an understanding of how the Council functions. We’re putting user needs at the heart of our approach – and you’ll work as a key relationship lead. Gathering information from stakeholders, you’ll analyse existing procedures and suggest improvements. You’ll use your skills and insight to make the right calls, based on data. And you’ll enjoy plenty of scope to take the initiative, determining the best course of action to deliver project outputs, then working with the Project Manager to ensure a smooth implementation.
This role is equally about data analysis and building professional relationships. The ability to gather, distil and simplify large amounts of data, then present your findings to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise, will be key to your success.
You’ll bring great problem-solving skills and a flair for building evidence to drive product decisions, along with the ability to visualise service journeys and map processes. We would prefer you to have experience of culture change projects, working with large-scale complex systems and processes. Understanding of product development and user-centred design is also important.
