A leading not-for-profit utilities company in Wales is currently looking for an additional Security Engineer to bolster their ranks. The company offers a strong benefits package which includes 33 days' annual leave alongside enhanced pension contributions.
Your new role
You will be supporting the Security Engineering Lead in a broad variety of work, gaining diverse experience across multiple areas. You will be a key member of the Security Engineering team, which forms part of the Security Operations team.
1. Day-to-day support and maintenance of security tooling.
2. Focus on maximizing security value from existing investments.
3. Monitor the capacity of security tooling & supporting infrastructure and forecast future capacity for security products.
4. Understand and develop security configurations for microservices, serverless computing, and software-as-a-service security solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Technical skills and strong communication skills.
2. Strong experience in a similar role, ideally with experience within Microsoft infrastructures.
3. Experience with hands-on security engineering duties, assurance, and risk assessments.
4. Knowledge of cloud security principles, ideally Azure.
5. To undergo a DBS security check.

This role is available for hybrid working with a typical requirement to work 2 days per week in the Cardiff/Newport office. Good salary, up to just under the £60k mark.
