Hiring for a Junior Process Engineer
Looking for an ambitious and engaging chemical engineer with a passion for the renewable energy sector. This is an entry level role, you require a minimum of 1 year in industry to apply for this position, a chemical engineering degree, a full drivers license, access to a car and full right to work in the UK.
With guidance from the Engineering Projects Leader & Senior Process Engineer liaise with the Operations team when scoping new projects. Ensuring that Operations Team are fully engaged with scoping of project ensure design scope agreed with Operations Team.
With support from Process Engineers produce engineering deliverables and provide engineering support to capital projects including:
• Producing Mass / Energy Balances, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment schedules, specifications / datasheets & control philosophy.
• Input to Layout / General Arrangement drawings. Subcontract equipment design / selection & contract documents
Support Project Engineers in the commissioning phase of major projects including:
• As built P&IDs, equipment schedules
• Commissioning check sheets completed for all equipment
With support from the engineering team, manage a process improvement project from start (development of scope and design) to finish (handover to operations) including:
• Scope of Work
• P&IDs, equipment schedules
• Design Review
• Project Initiation Document
• Procurement
• Installation
• Commissioning
With support from the engineering team promote a positive safety culture & ensure site works comply with all appropriate Safety Health & Environmental requirements:
• Work with the local H&S Coach/Advisor, the site team are engaged with and fully aware of safety requirements on site – Don’t Walk By culture is evident.
• Attend Regular safety meetings and site inspections evidenced
• Contribute to Safety Studies – HAZID / HAZOP / LOPA
• Develop understanding / review external DSEAR studies.
