Frontline Recruitment Derby Ltd have a new vacancy for a Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the company adheres to relevant regulations and best practices.. You will typically conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and internal audits, whilst also investigating any accidents and incidents and creating reports. This role also is responsible for verifying the quality of the manufactured products in accordance with our ISO9001:2015 management system.

Reporting to: Operations Manager
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
* Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant QHSE regulations and standards.
* Risk Assessments: Conducting thorough risk assessments of workplace activities and processes.
* Site Inspections: Regularly inspecting the workplace for safety hazards and ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Internal Audits: Conducting internal audits to assess the effectiveness of QHSE management systems.
* Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
* Reporting: Preparing and submitting reports on QHSE performance, including risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
* Training: Providing training to employees on QHSE procedures and safety protocols.
* Documentation: Maintaining and updating QHSE documentation, including procedures, policies, and records.
* Communication: Communicating QHSE information to employees, management, and external stakeholders.
Education and Experience
* 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role and industry (engineering/ manufacturing/chemical industry)
* National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) or
* The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or
* British Safety Council (BSC) level 6 diploma in occupational safety and health
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong and effective negotiations skills.
* Proven organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to analyse complex situations and solve problems; demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.
* Ability to multi-tasking, adapt and take initiative.
* High tolerance for a fast pace working environment and ability to effectively manage stress.
* Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint, etc.).
* Ability to learn new systems and software with ease (eg. ERP system).
* Ability to maintain constant communication and collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., operations, customer service, etc.).

Hours - Monday to Friday 38 hours per week DAYS
Salary - £30k-£32k pa (negotiable) plus benefits
